This website is operated by a private individual for informational, non-commercial purposes only.

2. General Information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.

3. Data Collection on This Website

Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These include: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

Local Storage

This website stores your language preference and preferred colour scheme (light/dark) in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to servers. You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. For anonymised usage statistics, Umami is used (see Section 6). Technically necessary settings (language, colour scheme, cookie consent) are stored in localStorage — not as cookies in the traditional sense.

4. External Links to Retailers

This website contains links to external retailer websites (e.g. BTB-Elektronik, Tube Amp Doctor, Watford Valves, eBay, HiFiShark and others). When you click these links, you leave tube.shopping and are subject to the privacy policy of the respective provider. We have no influence over their privacy practices and accept no responsibility for them.

5. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.

6. Analytics Tool: Umami

What is Umami?

This website uses Umami, a privacy-friendly open-source web analytics tool. Umami was specifically developed as a GDPR-compliant alternative to Google Analytics. It does not collect personal data, does not set cookies, and does not create user profiles.

What data is collected?

Umami collects only anonymised usage data: pages visited, time spent, device type (desktop/mobile), browser type and country of origin (country level only). IP addresses are not stored. No data is shared with third parties.

No cookies, no tracking

Umami does not use cookies and does not perform cross-site tracking. Each page view is treated as an independent event — it is not possible to re-identify individual users across sessions. Consent under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) is therefore sufficient.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest consists in understanding the use of the website and improving the offering. Since no personal data is collected, the interests of users do not prevail.

Hosting & Data Storage

The Umami instance is operated by Manus (the hosting provider of this website). Analytics data is stored exclusively on European servers and is not shared with third parties.

Further Information

Further information about Umami can be found on the official website: umami.is
