The company emerged from a private group of audiophiles inside and outside China, with the goal of producing high-quality vacuum tubes. In July 2011, the manufacturing base was established in Changsha, and already in August of the same year, the first Psvane tube — the 845 — was produced.

Linlai is a relatively new brand in the world of vacuum tubes, founded around 2019 in China. The company emerged from a team of engineers who had previously worked at Psvane and separated due to disagreements over investments and company strategy. The Linlai team is led by Mr. S. J. Li, the former VP of Production at the Psvane tube factory.

The history of tube manufacturer Elrog is characterized by a re-founding that continues the tradition of German electron tube manufacturing. Originally, ELROG Elektronenröhren GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1986 in Lüneburg. The company's roots extend back to the renowned Telefunken tube works in Ulm, underscoring its deep anchoring in German engineering tradition.

The Genalex Gold Lion brand boasts a rich history deeply rooted in British vacuum tube production. Originally established in the 1950s by the Genalex Company — an export label of the renowned Marconi-Osram Valve (MOV) and General Electric Company (GEC) in Great Britain — it became synonymous with superior quality and performance. MOV was already known for introducing the legendary KT66 in 1937, while GEC launched the groundbreaking KT88 in 1956.

Takatsuki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. was established in April 1947 by Tomomasa Kawasaki in Osaka, Japan. While the company has a broader history in semiconductor and automation equipment, its vacuum tube business gained significant attention in 2010 with the reintroduction of the TA-300B. This marked a revival of domestic audio vacuum tube production in Japan after a 35-year hiatus since 1979.
